Our journey

History

1999

Present

We were Google's first implementation partner.

We became Google’s first implementation partner, and for more than 20 years we’ve been trusted partners to Google, consulting with clients to unlock the value of their technology investment and maximizing their media performance.

2006

Present

Nordic footprint was established.

Business Science and Data Intelligence cooperated to create the largest econometric marketing measurement unit in the Nordics, lead out of Copenhagen.

2012

Present

We became part of WPP.

We were brought into the WPP ecosystem, where we established close working relationships with GroupM’s agencies and global partners. Together with our agency partners, our skilled Accelerators have been providing both consultative and hands-on support to power modernization and growth at many of the world’s biggest brands.

2016

Present

Nordic footprint grew.

We opened the Oslo and Stockholm offices, and we launched Cloud and custom algorithm specialized services. We reached the milestone of over 1.000 econometric models carried out in the Nordics.

2021

Present

Acceleration Nordic was born.

Business Science and Data Intelligence merged with Acceleration Global to become Acceleration Nordic. Acceleration Nordic counted more than 80 consultants and specialists across the Nordic markets. Globally recognized by I-COM Data Creativity and Rambuk Awards, we developed and launched Paradigm – a future-proof and cookie-less digital attribution platform.

2022

Present

Acceleration Launch in Portugal

Acceleration was launched in Portugal on June 21st, 2022. Based off WPP Campus in Lisbon, the new Data & Technology WPP center of excellence brought together 40 WPP experts, from data scientists, to cloud architects and strategy consultants. With Portugal as the center of innovation and global talent, Acceleration Portugal opened with the ambition to help their clients embrace new opportunities and scale their businesses, to stay at the forefront of innovation.

2022

Present

Former GroupM Consulting joins as Acceleration Italy

In October 2022, former GroupM Consulting - GroupM Italy’s consultancy unit specialized in digital marketing - has joined Acceleration: a connection that strengthens and amplifies the ambition of leading brands in their Digital Transformation journey in Italy.

2023

Present

We continue to grow.

We are starting a new chapter shaped by growth and innovation. As part of WPP, operated by media company GroupM, we have expanded into 18 markets to achieve a truly global footprint. Our ongoing mission is to help advertisers modernize their businesses by focusing on sustainable growth and building seamless connections between media strategy, data and privacy practices, technology investments and marketing goals.
